a collection of the dramas that I have watched
Boys Over Flowers 꽃보다 남자 (2009)
Ku Hye Sun as Geum Jan Di
Lee Min Ho as Gu Jun Pyo
Kim Hyun Joong as Yoon Ji Hoo
Kim Bum as So Yi-jung
Kim Joon as Song Woo Bin
Kim So Eun as Chu Ga Eul

Set at a famous high school for the super-wealthy, this is a puppy love story centered on a poor girl and the F4 gang of rich kids headed by the rough and fearless Jun Pyo Koo. Geum Jan Di is a girl from a poor family but has an unrivaled sense of optimism and drive and is by chance admitted to a prestigious private high school. There she meets the infamous group of four astonishingly good looking and rich boys who are known as F4. The group's leader is Koo Jun Pyo, who is a spoiled heir to world-leading conglomerate Shinhwa. He is joined by mysterious and breathlessly handsome Yun Ji Hu, So Lee Jeong, and Song Woo Bin. Their love story moves from Seoul to New Caledonia to Macau.

My Thoughts
This has to be the best remake of the manga series, especially when all members of F4 are so cute! May I take a moment to gush at how much I adore Lee Min Ho in this show - ok, minus the awful curly hairdo - he nailed his character well! The other F3 members shone in their respective roles, without taking the limelight off the leads. Kim Bum, who charms the scene with his boyish looks and mega-watt smile, looks poised to be the next mega star, so keep a look out!
IRIS 아이리스 (2009)
Lee Byung Hun as Kim Hyun Jun
Kim Tae Hee as Choi Seung Hee
Jung Joon Ho as Jin Sa Woo
Kim Seung Woo as Park Cheol Young
Kim So Yeon as Kim Seon Hwa
T.O.P. as Vick

Two elite National Security System (NSS) agents, Hyeong Jun and Sa Woo,who were sworn blood brothers, both fall for fellow agent Seung Hee. Sa Woo attempts to suppress his feelings for Seung Hee and wishes the couple the best. Hyeon Jun is then sent off on a solo mission to Hungary. In Hungary, Hyeon Jun accomplishes his mission and while in escape mode becomes wounded. Shortly later, Hyeon Jun finds out that he was betrayed by fellow agent Sa Woo. Seung Hee attempts to help Hyeon Jun escape, but a car explosion separates the two and both are misled to believe that the other person are dead. Hyeon Jun is then saved by an unknown voice and learns of the secret society "IRIS". One year later, Hyeon Jun returns to Korea to seek revenge. During this time, the two Koreas are set to reunify, while the group "IRIS" are intent on stopping the reunification.

My Thoughts
Action-packed drama with a love story in between. I was rooting for the reunion of Hyeon Jun & Seung Hee at the end, only to be HUGELY disappointed! Come on, you can't have this type of ending after chasing the drama for 20 episodes.
My Fair Lady 아가씨를 부탁해 (2009)
Yoon Eun-hye as Kang Hye-na
Yoon Sang-hyun as Seo Dong-chan
Jung Il-woo as Lee Tae-yoon
Moon Chae-won as Yeo Eui-joo

Kang Hye-na, the only successor of Kang-san Group, is the owner of the ‘Lady Castle’ and lives a ‘princess-like’ life with her servants. Hye-na’s parents died from a plane accident and her grandfather brought her up. Hye-na is strong-headed and selfish, whose world revolves around her because she could not experience the warmth of a family whilst growing up. One day, she comes across Dong-chan when she is carelessly driving and knocks into Dong-chan's truck in which he is shipping flowers. She knocks out a bunch of flowers from his truck so Dong-chan goes to complain. She refuses to apologise but just gives him money. She drives away although Dong-chan isn't satisfied. He chases after her and eventually cuts her of at the end of a road. Kang Hye-na ignores this and just drives straight into his truck. As a consequence of this he makes Hye-na do community service, kidnaps her, and appears in front of her as the new household manager. Hye-na makes every effort to throw him out from the Castle, but Dong-chan refuses to budge.
My Thoughts
The plot sounds like taming of a shrewd princess, so it is a must-watch for me. Mainly also due to Yoon Eun Hye, whom I like since Goong.
Secret Garden 시크릿 가든 (2010)
Ha Ji-won as Gil Ra-im
Hyun Bin as Kim Joo-won
Yoon Sang-hyun as Choi Woo-young / Oska
Kim Sa-rang as Yoon Seul
Lee Phillip as Director Im Jong-soo
Lee Jong-suk as Han Tae-sun
Yoo In-na as Im Ah-young

The drama tells the story of Kim Joo Won, an arrogant and eccentric CEO who maintains the image of seeming perfection, and Gil Ra Im, a poor and humble stuntwoman whose beauty and body are the object of envy amongst top actresses. Their accidental meeting, when Joo Won mistakes Ra Im for actress Park Chae Rin, marks the beginning of a tense, bickering relationship, through which Joo Won tries to hide a growing attraction to Ra Im that both confuses and disturbs him. To complicate matters further, a strange sequence of events results in them swapping bodies.

My Thoughts
Excellent storyline - I've lost count on the number of times where I laughed & cried with the characters, especially when they switched their bodies. Worth a re-watch!
Personal Taste 개인의 취향 (2010)
Son Ye Jin as Park Gae In
Lee Min Ho as Jeon Jin Ho
Kim Ji Suk as Han Chang Ryul
Wang Ji Hye as Kim In Hee

Jeon Jin Ho is a straight guy who pretends to be gay in order to become Park Gae In's roommate. His hobbies include organization and ironing, and he's known for his stoic poker face. He's a stickler for cleanliness, but he also has a talent for figuring out a women's feelings. Gae In is very trusting even though she has a habit of being betrayed. However that doesn't stop her from giving people the benefit of doubt and Jin Ho is no different. How will Gae In react when she finds out that her gay roommate is not actually gay at all and that he has fallen for her?
My Thoughts
Son Ye Jin + Lee Min Ho, 2 of my favourites in a show? Enough said, I declare this the drama of the year for 2010.
Sungkyunkwan Scandal 성균관 스캔들 (2010)
Yoochun as Lee Sun Joon
Park Min Young as Kim Yoon Hee
Song Joong Ki as Goo Yong Ha
Yoo Ah In as Moon Jae Shin

Sungkyunkwan Scandal is set in Sungkyunkwan University in the late Joseon era during the reign of King Jeongjo, revolving around the exploits and love stories of four youths. When her younger brother's illness worsens and their family is in danger of being evicted from their house for lack of money, Kim Yoon Hee enters the school under his name, disguised as a boy in her desperation to support him. There, she becomes friends with the intelligent and upright Lee Sun Joon, the playboy Goo Yong Ha and rebellious Moon Jae Shin.

My Thoughts
Girl disguised as boy and yet, all the boys ended up liking her - they must have thought they were gays, lol! An average show by Yoochun and I didn't enjoy it as much as Rooftop Prince.
My Girlfriend is a Gumiho 내 여자친구는 구미호 (2010)
Lee Seung-gi as Cha Dae-woong
Shin Min-ah as Gu Mi-ho/Park Seon-ju/Gil-dal
No Min-woo as Park Dong-joo
Park Soo-jin as Eun Hye-in

The cowardly Dae Woong accidentally frees a gumiho, a legendary nine-tailed fox from Korean mythology. As he runs away terrified, he suffers a life-threatening fall but the grateful monster spares his life by giving him its power-giving “fox bead.” Taking the form of a beautiful woman, “Mi Ho” forces the frightened Dae Woong to help her become a real human. But as the two begin to develop feelings for each other, can Mi Ho let Dae Woong make the necessary sacrifices for her to become human?

My Thoughts
The mystic story of love story between human and animal was the draw for me. However, I find Lee Seung Gi's acting as Dae Woong slightly exaggerated. Shin Min Ah shines in her natural beauty and she was so comical at times. Overall a pleasant show.
