Turned out that Leecher was reading our my blog and it was the day when I posted about our Kai Nian Fan 2013.

2008 ~ When we had Kai Nian Fan for the 2nd year (1st Kai Nian Fan was during pre-blogging days and we didn't own a digital camera then)
 

2009 ~ Kenneth joining us for desserts  - not much difference, cant tell for Leecher as he was hiding behind Kenneth *good strategy*
 

2010 ~ The year where me + Fionn organise the dinner. Yes, I had bangs that year (which was quite IN during that period) and now looking at the pic ... should i cut bangs again?? 

 

2011 ~ The year where we had to switch venue last min for it was a 45 min wait for the table, so we headed to some Japanese restaurant instead. 

 

2012 ~ Venue @ Ember, as recommended by FMQ.

Korean Dramas

When the K-wave landed on our shores almost 10 years ago, I caught the first ever K-drama shown on Ch U - Autumn in my Heart (秋天的童話). Honestly, I was quite bored with this drama, even though I really like the scenery & not to mention that Song Hyo Kyo is really pretty, lol! Then, I fell in love with Baey Yong Joon when he acted in Winter Sonata ~ who can forget the bicycle scene, the snow resort which was made famous world-wide due to this show? Over the years, I lost track of K-drama ... had no idea who-was-who when the hype was on Big Bang, Shinhwa, TOP, Wonder Girls, SNSD etc. It wasn't till the brothers became SNSD no.1 fan and kept talking about them during our gatherings did I pay attention to K-wave once again. 

 

So, my K-wave drama rekindled when I caught Leecher watching City Hunter on his phone, lol! He downloaded the show when he went back to reservist last year, so he could watch it whenever he had time to spare, lol! He strongly recommended the show to me, as he knew that I'll be more inclined to watch handsome male leads & yes, he knows me well! >.<

 And before I know it, I've caught these dramas over a couple of months ... While I don't stay up to chase episodes after episodes (something which I used to do years ago) & just watching whenever I have the time to spare, they have been a great source of entertainment for me whenever I'm on-board flights to KL or traveling on budget :)

Spring Cleaning

I don't have a habit of spring cleaning during CNY, but this year, mummy dearest issued an order for me to head back and clear out my stuff from the store-room - which was filled up with lil bro & my items. The last time I did a major clear-out was when I shifted house to our love nest. Back then, my room looked like this:
 
Yup, my room was clustered with clothes & I always feel that I have got nothing to wear *slaps forehead with palm*

 

 Operation Clean-up! I gave away quite a lot of clothes to my lil cousins while the rest went to the flea market.

 I threw away a lot of stuff, including the flower bouquets that Leecher gave me during our courtship days. My room became tidier after this, partly cuz I've transferred most of my stuff to our current place, lol! 

 

Some of the books/boxes that I kept in the store-room. Away from sight, away from mind mentality. 
 

All the business textbooks that accompanied me during my uni days. Wanted to keep it for lil bro, but he chose to study engineering instead.

Then, I discovered my stash of F4 magazines! I used to be a huge fan of them, all because of Meteor Garden :)

One of my fave mag cover of them, this book is almost 10 years old! Still in good condition.

 

Found my zai zai pillow case, which was part of the gift for his 2nd album. Those were the days when I even went to queue up for his autograph, lol! #wewereyoungonce.

 

As I was busy tidying the room, Leecher was snoozing away! #lazybum. 

2012, in a heart beat!

The last day of 2012. As the clock makes its way slowly to midnight, I'm sitting here writing this post, thinking about the events that took place in the past year :) 

Being married to Leecher ... hmm, always an interesting topic to talk about for there are just too many stories. Like all other couples, we had our joy and tears, quarrels and sweet-nots. Survived the 1st year of marriage life, and counting onto the 2nd. 7th year of together-ness don't come easy, so I'm really counting my blessings. 

Work has been smooth-sailing, with some challenges in b/w. Still trying to strike the right balance :) Hopefully will expand the territories under my care :)

Always wanna the best for mummy dearest, lil bro & baby bro, just wanna spend more time with them whenever I can and stay healthy! 

As I make way for a new calender on my desk, here's wishing everyone

Comex 2012

Our study room table was filled with all sorts of rubbish for the past few months. I had to shift out my laptop and continued my work in the living room while the pile continued its vertical climb.

 

Finally, I've decided to clear the table, move my new gadget into the room and refurnished the room as my workspace (also, kicking Leecher out of the room, as there is just no more space left for his stuff). He shall continue to roam our house with his laptop and charger at whatever space he can call it his comfort zone.

 Introducing my new gadget that I acquired at the Comex show :) A bigger screen makes working easier as well.

 Setting up the new monitor & coincidentally, I bought another Samsung product for the house!

Finally, my new workspace where I"ll be spending lots of time working off my laptop :) 

Mani & Pedi

Blogging from my hotel room @ JW Marriott KL. They seemed to have revamped the place from my last stay, but what is disappointing is there's no free WIFI connection & you still have to pay for internet connection. Guess I won't be staying at this hotel in the near future, unless they improvise on their facilities. A quick post before I hit the bed ~ It has been a long time since I did my nails. So when a wedding invitation came along, I reckoned that this was the perfect chance of pampering the nails :)

All set for a fresh coat of colours.

The essentials for pedi! They did a great job in removing dead skin cells and my feet felt baby smooth after that.

Chosen glittery purple this time round, to match the purple toga dress that I've chosen to wear for the wedding.

Quick, dry dry dry!

This macho angmoh walked in for a mani&pedi session! How cool is that? I have to admit that I did steal a few glances at him, lol!

All set and ready to go! Love the bling :)

Off to meet up with Leecher, who happened to be out with his friends, to have dinner together. Proudly showed him my nails and ...... he groaned! For that would meant a week of not-doing-laundry, lol :)

Catching up on Reading

I've been so busy that the books are starting to stack up @ my bedside table, with several others on the shelves. I missed the feeling of holding a book in my hands, flipping through the pages and entering into the world of imagination.

Hot Hot Hot

The weather is Singapore has been extremely humid and warm recently, much to the displeasure of Leecher. Well, speaking of hotness ... *giggles* I did something very Qian-ish last December!

I happened to be around the area and couldn't help but to join in the crowd! God, surrounded by the hot bods, it sure felt heavenly, lol! Maybe I should start sourcing for an AF posterboy and put it near Leecher's bedside >,<

Landed!

Back from China! Touched down this morning at 5.30am and it was a mad rush home to unload our luggage. I had a quick shower before heading into the office. Dinner & drinks tonight to welcome our new colleague onboard.

Now, I just need lots of caffeine to last me through the day!

A lil ranting

I don't normally blog about unpleasant incidents, for I want the blog to be filled with happy memories of my life. However, some people just got nothing better to do and try to stir shit (be it how minute it is) with us. The irony is - these people tried to stir shit and backfired. It only made the others realize how pathetic they are in doing so. I felt comforted when the others told me that they are well-aware of the situation. Everyone have eyes to see, so please stop resorting to tricks and whatsnot.

Now, I know the reason why *grins*

Kawaii wallpaper, found on Leecher's phone, haha! He changed to Samsung phone and can't find a battery indicator like those on iphone. The bear will actually fall asleep when battery is running low, so cute right?

Flea @ *scape

How apt! To solve this problem, we are going on a flea to make room for more clothes! Come join us this Saturday, 21st April 2012 at *scape Sky Terrace, starting from 2pm till 8pm.

2011 - in a heart beat!

The last day of 2011 and in a few moments, we will be ushering in Yr 2012. Yr 2011 has been an amazing year for both of us, in terms of work & personal. Looking back, I wished we had more time to achieve more stuff, but I guess 知足常乐 is perhaps more important than anything else.

On the personal front .... hmm, lots of major milestones happened to us this year alone - renovating our house, moving in, signing our lives away (yet another time) to buy Jet, marriage preparations and finally the BIG day itself.

As I looked back at our earlier entries, I realized we have grown a lot physically (more so for Leecher's waist line) and emotionally. I guess we all have to grow up somewhere, somehow. Now, is a new phrase where Leecher's name comes under my immediate family. Even mummy dearest changed status and become my extended family, boohoo! Then again, it's just a status - mummy dearest will forever be the no. 1 in my heart! Sorry Leecher! haha!

On the work front, I'm glad that I was presented with a lot more opportunities to prove my worth - though the learning curve is still steep. Elated to add China market to my portfolio this year :) Thanks for all the colleagues who helped along the way!

This year, we decided to do something special by writing our wishes for the new year!
