Post Wedding Trip - Bali P1

A short vacation to Bali straight after our wedding, not a honeymoon trip! This was more of a rest & recharge trip after the hectic planning of wedding and house renovation. We chose Bali as our destination as it seemed "right" to return to the island as Mr & Mrs, given that Leecher proposed to me on this island :)

Unlike all other trips, we took separate airlines on our 1st trip out as Mr & Mrs, lol! Leecher had the luxury of traveling SQ (courtesy of my miles) while I had to purchase my own tickets and travel Air Asia. Yes, I am being bullied even before marriage already! As it turned out that some of my KrisFlyer miles will be expiring soon & at the time of conversion, I only had enough miles to redeem a round-trip ticket. So I asked Leecher if he is alright if we travel on separate airlines, as it was only a 2.5 hours journey. Leecher said that's fine ...... if he gets to travel on SQ >.<

On the cab to the airport - the best part about staying in Punggol? We're closer to the airport & I can afford to sleep in longer whenever I'm traveling for business trip, heehee!

Leecher checking in our luggages @ T2.

Done with his check-in, we took the sky train to T1.

Check-in counter for Air Asia @ T1.

Late lunch/early dinner @ Ruyi, which is the 1st fast-food Chinese restaurant to be introduced in Singapore.

We parted ways after dinner, as Leecher had to go back to T2 to board his flight. Since we are taking 2 different flights, we agreed to meet up at the luggage collection point. I had to board my flight first, as I'm on the earlier flight.

Leecher enjoying his inflight entertainment & meals onboard SQ, while I caught the sleeping bug onboard Air Asia.

It was almost 7pm when we landed in Bali - hopped onto the airport transfer and our driver brought us to the villa.

Snails roaming the garden when we checked into the villa.

Our tired faces & we were so hungry that we had to call for their room service!

Refreshing welcome drink to quench the thirst - think it was watermelon juice.

We checked out the rest of the villa while waiting for our dinner. We booked the Temple Villa, which comes with private garden, a plunge pool with sea view. The living room is spacious, with a day bed & a wide variety of DVDs for viewing.

The bedroom & bathroom were so huge! One bad point - there are no racks on the standing shower area to put your toiletries. You have to put them on the floor, not very convenient.

Our dinner, nasi goreng and mee goreng. We were so hungry that we polished them off within minutes.

Ended the meal with fanta & bintang *blurp*

PicPrints - VW

I happened to take a closer look @ Jet's headlights and noticed that it formed the words VW.

Hot Hot Hot

The weather is Singapore has been extremely humid and warm recently, much to the displeasure of Leecher. Well, speaking of hotness ... *giggles* I did something very Qian-ish last December!

Soft launch of Abercrombie & Fitch, which created quite a hype!

Are you ready boys?

I happened to be around the area and couldn't help but to join in the crowd! God, surrounded by the hot bods, it sure felt heavenly, lol! Maybe I should start sourcing for an AF posterboy and put it near Leecher's bedside >,<

Reno Diary - Shortlisting Designers P2

Lots of my peers have reached the age whereby we are all embarking on a new journey in our lives - getting engaged/married, buying the love nest and renovation. Now that I've penned down our wedding journey (minus the honeymoon trips), time to pen down our journey of building our love nest together. Posts will be consolidated at the side banner under "Maison de Joie" for easier reference :)

The most difficult part in the reno process is selecting the designers/contractors that you want to work with - for each individual has their own preference/expectations. A designer that works for you may not meet the expectation of another. Leecher's colleagues were so helpful & passed a lot of contacts to us. I did my homework via the net and chanced upon a forum post posted by a guy - which pinpoints exactly the feelings of a young couple's renovation process! Call it my utlra-accurate 6th sense, I felt that the designer mentioned in his post was the designer that I've been searching for.

Armed with the contact details, I called up the designer & we arranged to meet up for a discussion. It was a pleasant meeting & they were extremely interested in our cottage concept, for it was something they didn't attempt before. At the same time, we went to meet other designers, but nothing came close to what they can offer or the interaction that we have with them. Henceforth, the choice was pretty obvious. We signed up with Inside Living Pte Ltd, entrusting our love nest reno in the arms of Jessie & Merane.

Landed!

Back from China! Touched down this morning at 5.30am and it was a mad rush home to unload our luggage. I had a quick shower before heading into the office. Dinner & drinks tonight to welcome our new colleague onboard.

Now, I just need lots of caffeine to last me through the day!
