Post Wedding Trip - Bali P2

Rise & Shine! OK, greeting everyone with our bare face, lol!

We opened the doors, only to be greeted with ....

Fluffy clouds & the coastline in a distant.

Private swimming pool right outside our villa.

Unlike our previous Bali trip, I didn't plan any activities for this trip. We decided to take things easy & just chill/relax - no rushing of time, just sleep and wake up naturally every day. I even switched off my daily alarm and not to be disturbed by any phone calls.

The helpers bringing our breakfast, which we ordered the night before. They will only start preparing our breakfast upon receiving our call when we woke up.

Leecher waiting for the table to be set.

Brunch for we slept till 10.45. I ordered pancakes - imagine my shock when my pancake arrived, clustered with large chunks of banana, which I absolutely dislike. Leecher went for continental breakfast, with eggs, bread and sausages.

So today, we decided to nua @ the pool. The helpers tidying the deck and brought out the lounge chairs for us.

See, Leecher so happy and immediately changed into his swimming trunks.

The sun was too hot, so I choose to remain in the shade.

I brought along my reading material - The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown. I loved his works, esp Da Vinci Code & Angels and Demons. I gotten hold of this book long ago, but didn't have the luxury of time to flip the pages till this trip.

Leecher reading his book at the shady end of the pool.

We just spend the whole afternoon reading our books and chilling out at the pool. Around 4pm, we followed Lisa (the manager of the villa) to a nearby supermarket to stock up on grocery.

The villa where we are staying.

Waiting for the car!

The villa where we were staying were kinda out of town, so it took around a 20m drive to city centre where civilization exist. Lisa brought us to this supermarket which was frequent by the locals. We began combing the place in search for titbits, filling our basket to the brim!

We were feeling hungry, so we snacked on ice cream.

Climbing the mini stairs to our villa.

We saw that the helpers were busy setting up the place for our candlelight dinner.

Since we are having candlelight dinner, of cuz must dress up a bit, right?

The pool was lit with candles and they even put flower petals in the water for decoration.

We began the night with our starters - fries & fried calamaris.

Leecher can't wait to start the feast!

Candlelight must have wine! We got a bottle of red wine courtesy of the villa for our honeymoon.

Let the feasting begin!

We had a 3 course meal - wasn't that fantastic (and we think they should just specialize in cooking local food instead of western) but it was a good experience to dine by the pool and looking at the stars.

After dinner, we just sat by the edge of the pool, soaking our feet in the water while sipping red wine before retiring for the night. And, a day just went passed without us knowing it :)

Post Wedding Trip - Bali P1

A short vacation to Bali straight after our wedding, not a honeymoon trip! This was more of a rest & recharge trip after the hectic planning of wedding and house renovation. We chose Bali as our destination as it seemed "right" to return to the island as Mr & Mrs, given that Leecher proposed to me on this island :)

Unlike all other trips, we took separate airlines on our 1st trip out as Mr & Mrs, lol! Leecher had the luxury of traveling SQ (courtesy of my miles) while I had to purchase my own tickets and travel Air Asia. Yes, I am being bullied even before marriage already! As it turned out that some of my KrisFlyer miles will be expiring soon & at the time of conversion, I only had enough miles to redeem a round-trip ticket. So I asked Leecher if he is alright if we travel on separate airlines, as it was only a 2.5 hours journey. Leecher said that's fine ...... if he gets to travel on SQ >.<

On the cab to the airport - the best part about staying in Punggol? We're closer to the airport & I can afford to sleep in longer whenever I'm traveling for business trip, heehee!

Leecher checking in our luggages @ T2.

Done with his check-in, we took the sky train to T1.

Check-in counter for Air Asia @ T1.

Late lunch/early dinner @ Ruyi, which is the 1st fast-food Chinese restaurant to be introduced in Singapore.

We parted ways after dinner, as Leecher had to go back to T2 to board his flight. Since we are taking 2 different flights, we agreed to meet up at the luggage collection point. I had to board my flight first, as I'm on the earlier flight.

Leecher enjoying his inflight entertainment & meals onboard SQ, while I caught the sleeping bug onboard Air Asia.

It was almost 7pm when we landed in Bali - hopped onto the airport transfer and our driver brought us to the villa.

Snails roaming the garden when we checked into the villa.

Our tired faces & we were so hungry that we had to call for their room service!

Refreshing welcome drink to quench the thirst - think it was watermelon juice.

We checked out the rest of the villa while waiting for our dinner. We booked the Temple Villa, which comes with private garden, a plunge pool with sea view. The living room is spacious, with a day bed & a wide variety of DVDs for viewing.

The bedroom & bathroom were so huge! One bad point - there are no racks on the standing shower area to put your toiletries. You have to put them on the floor, not very convenient.

Our dinner, nasi goreng and mee goreng. We were so hungry that we polished them off within minutes.

Ended the meal with fanta & bintang *blurp*
