Dinner Date with Kenneth & Fionn

A quick post before I head for the airport in a few hours time to fly back to SG. Was in BKK for work & wanted to extend my stay to venture outskirts to explore, but decided to go back home for daddy-in-law is celebrating his bdae this wkend :) Taking a break from blogging about the Bali trip for there were too many pictures to be loaded :p A date with Leecher (eons ago!) for a day of feasting!

Leecher brought me to try out this yong tau fu stall in Orchard. He used to frequent this stall when working part-time @ Robinsons. There was a wide selection of ingredients available, but as we went after lunch hours - most of the items were sold out. Hence, we can only make do with what was left. Nevertheless, I love the dip of sweet chilli sauce & sesame seed! The eatery has limited seating, so avoid peak hours.

Leecher went shoe-shopping @ Taka. Goodness, guys' shoes are so expensive! Actually, I think all of guys' stuff are expensive. Thankfully, Leecher don't shop a lot, heehee! More space in the wardrobe for me!

Adjourned to TCC for afternoon tea, which consisted of mini sandwiches and scones. I'm sure they would have revamped their afternoon tea set by now, and I think the quality has also improved. Then again, it largely depends on which outlet you patron.

Dinner with Kenneth & Fionn~ Been a long while since the 4 of us got together, but still full of jokes and laughter! We wanted to try Tampopo, but the queue was horrendous! There were around 15 groups of pax in front of us, so we continued walking when I heard someone calling my name. Turned around and lil bro was in the front of the queue! *eyes lit up* We joined him and managed to get 2 tables! Yippee, but I ended up footing the bill for lil bro's meal - kena "carrot-headed" again!

Post Wedding Trip - Bali P3

Tuesday! Gosh, I feel like I'm counting down to the days of the week, wishing that time would accelerate to Friday, then praying that time would come to a standstill during weekends. Well, God is fair - everyone of us have 24 hours a day & it would depend on how each one of us make use of the time we have on hand. Recently, I find it increasingly difficult to manage my time to allocate to the activities that I wanna have :( I've been going out less often with friends ever since I came back from my trips and I dislike that feeling! Time for some adjustment! Maybe, I just need Leecher to share some of my workload :p

Indon breakfast to start the day :) Nasi goreng & maggi goreng, with fresh fruits and juices - all in the comfort of the villa *likes*

Sunny weather - in fact, the weather was fantastic during the whole of our trip.

To head out or not?

On second thoughts - looking at the fiery sun - think we better not.

Drinks & snacks to accompany us while we read. In fact, it was so peaceful and quiet that I almost fell asleep.

Time for a swim :) Well, I am a non-swimmer, so I just go and 泡水 and have some fun *self-entertainment*

Time for our afternoon massage!

Heading out of the villa to the spa centre.

The compound is located on a slope and our villa is at the bottom of the slope, but nevertheless, the pavement is still pretty steep.

The sun blazing fiercely! We explored the whole compound trying to look for the spa center, but we couldn't locate it :( So we went back to the villa and rang up Lisa. She told us their spa centre is mobile, haha! They will come to our villa for massage session.

The masseurs arrived at our doorsteps and moved the lounge chairs into the living room.

All set and ready for massage!

Flower bath thereafter :) The masseurs must have exerted all her strength for I suffered from redness all over my body.

After a 2hrs massage & flower bath later, we were all fresh and ready for dinner :)

On whatsapp with the bro & sis group :)

Almost time for sunset. Initially, we wanted to venture out to Jimbaran Bay for dinner & sunset. However, the journey will take around 1hr - so by the time we reached, it will be dark. So we decided to just nua inside the resort and prepared our own dinner.

Chef Leecher preparing our (maggi mee) dinner.

I contributed by pouring drinks :p

Then, I took my own drink out to chill by the pool first, lol!

Toss Toss & it's done!

Getting ready to soak our feet in the water while we have our dinner by the pool :)

Cheers with Fanta, one of my (fave) drinks.

Simple meal cooked by Leecher.

Enjoying the lovely sunset .... love the pink hues of streaks decorating the sky. A sight that take it for granted every day.

Though this Leecher sometimes irritate the hell out of me, I'm still thankful that I found him.

xoxo, till the next post :)

Post Wedding Trip - Bali P2

Rise & Shine! OK, greeting everyone with our bare face, lol!

We opened the doors, only to be greeted with ....

Fluffy clouds & the coastline in a distant.

Private swimming pool right outside our villa.

Unlike our previous Bali trip, I didn't plan any activities for this trip. We decided to take things easy & just chill/relax - no rushing of time, just sleep and wake up naturally every day. I even switched off my daily alarm and not to be disturbed by any phone calls.

The helpers bringing our breakfast, which we ordered the night before. They will only start preparing our breakfast upon receiving our call when we woke up.

Leecher waiting for the table to be set.

Brunch for we slept till 10.45. I ordered pancakes - imagine my shock when my pancake arrived, clustered with large chunks of banana, which I absolutely dislike. Leecher went for continental breakfast, with eggs, bread and sausages.

So today, we decided to nua @ the pool. The helpers tidying the deck and brought out the lounge chairs for us.

See, Leecher so happy and immediately changed into his swimming trunks.

The sun was too hot, so I choose to remain in the shade.

I brought along my reading material - The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown. I loved his works, esp Da Vinci Code & Angels and Demons. I gotten hold of this book long ago, but didn't have the luxury of time to flip the pages till this trip.

Leecher reading his book at the shady end of the pool.

We just spend the whole afternoon reading our books and chilling out at the pool. Around 4pm, we followed Lisa (the manager of the villa) to a nearby supermarket to stock up on grocery.

The villa where we are staying.

Waiting for the car!

The villa where we were staying were kinda out of town, so it took around a 20m drive to city centre where civilization exist. Lisa brought us to this supermarket which was frequent by the locals. We began combing the place in search for titbits, filling our basket to the brim!

We were feeling hungry, so we snacked on ice cream.

Climbing the mini stairs to our villa.

We saw that the helpers were busy setting up the place for our candlelight dinner.

Since we are having candlelight dinner, of cuz must dress up a bit, right?

The pool was lit with candles and they even put flower petals in the water for decoration.

We began the night with our starters - fries & fried calamaris.

Leecher can't wait to start the feast!

Candlelight must have wine! We got a bottle of red wine courtesy of the villa for our honeymoon.

Let the feasting begin!

We had a 3 course meal - wasn't that fantastic (and we think they should just specialize in cooking local food instead of western) but it was a good experience to dine by the pool and looking at the stars.

After dinner, we just sat by the edge of the pool, soaking our feet in the water while sipping red wine before retiring for the night. And, a day just went passed without us knowing it :)
