Xmas Celebrations with dear FMQ

We invited Minqian over to our humble house for an Xmas meal together :)

Leecher setting the table for our meal! He even put flowers on the table, haha!

Leecher too gan-cheong & laid the table way too early, so we cam-whored while waiting for Minqian's arrival :)

Our wine for the night - Moscato! It has now become my 2nd fave drink besides Riseling :)

We ordered Thai food for our Xmas dinner, haha! Wanted to cook initially, but we were both too tired out from housework earlier that morning. So, with a click of the mouse, we got piping hot Thai food delivered to our door-steps!

3 cheers to a wonderful year ahead!

Xmas Tree

Having our own love nest meant that we could have our own lil Xmas tree! Yes, 2 months late but better than never - a series of Xmas related posts coming your way :) We went hunting down for Xmas tree for the cosy corner & all thanks to Colin's recommendation, we managed to find an Xmas tree that was well within the budget.

Our loots for the Xmas season

Excited at setting up our own tree :)

Leecher had the honour of "scotch-tape" cutting

Ta-dah! The 5 ft Xmas tree that we got. Initially wanted to get the 6 ft tree, but figured that it would be too big for the cosy corner.

Removing the figurines from their usual spot for the tree.

Leecher trying to figure out how to assemble the tree.

Done! Next, we need to remove all the plastic wrappers.

Which I was left in charge while Leecher took a break from exercising too much brain juice >.<

Once the wrappers were removed, we had to adjust the branches to make the tree look "fuller"

Vacuum the area first before we put up the decorations.

Final step - to decorate the tree!

Twirl the fairy lights all around the tree.

Yes, the theme was traditional red and gold :)

Hang hang hang :)

Other Xmas ornaments that we bought. I bought way too much ornaments for our petite tree, heehee!

Instead of the usual fairy or star @ the top of the tree, we chose bells instead :) Leecher with the final touch!

Our Xmas stockings!

Ta-dah! We spent almost 2 hours in all & ended up looking like pandas the next morning, LOL!

Happy Vday!

The 1st Vday as Mr & Mrs, and counting :)

Leecher sprung a surprise on me on Vday eve, which also happened to be our 74th month anniversary.

So happy that I couldn't stop grinning at the phone!

The bouquet got downgraded to a single stalk after marriage.

By my bedside table, looking sweet on its own :)
