BKK Trip with Leecher Nov 2012 P3

Monday, yet again. Welcome to a new blog layout, haha! Yes, itchy-fingers me decided to change the blog once again - wanted something simple this time round, to balance out the huge pic posts in this blog, hahaha! Anyway, continuing from Part 1 & Part 2 of our BKK trip :)

We woke up in time for breakfast - how awesome is that?! Haha, when staying in Tango, I don't usually wake up in time for breakfast *guilty face of sleeping in late*

#ootd! Dressed in top & shorts for we are heading somewhere :)

New items on the menu - spaghetti and chicken drumlets. Forgettable taste though.

The staples in Tango - choose what kinda eggs you wanna with the set.

Cheeky Leecher enjoying his eggs.

Time to head out again! I found a short cut from the hotel to the railway station *pats on back!*

Waiting for a safe moment to cross to the other side, so time for pictures, haha!

The tracks that we had to cross to get to the station.

 Stopped for a picture too!

The bad thing about staying @ Tango is that the location is not close to any of the BTS station. Previously, we'll walk to the nearest BTS station and take the train from there. For this trip, we decided to pamper our legs and did less walking, which means more money is spent on transport. Taking the train from Ratchaprarop station was what we did everyday.

Sunny day, so out came the shades :)

BKK scene taken from the train's concourse.

Using coin token for the journey, for this was part of the Airport Railway Line.

Here comes the train! The service runs daily from 6am till midnight.

Check out the wkend crowd! The BTS ticket machine (which accepts notes) was down. The other older machines only accepts coins & the best part is - you can't buy your train tickets from the service counters. You will have to queue up at service counters to exchange your notes for coins, then queue again at the ticketing machines to buy your tickets. Quite "duh" right?

Back at Chatuchak - the must-visit place for Leecher whenever we stayed in BKK over the weekend. His shoes paradise, so he claimed, haha! Well, as for me, the 1st thing that I did was to .......

Shopping time! Who can resist shopping?

Must have @ Chatuchak!

Always fascinating to watch how the drink is being prepared.

Perfect drink in the hot weather :)

Walked past the pets section and the dogs were so cute! Bought a new toy for Gummi :)

More purchases! Getting the strap fixed so that it can fit on my waist.

Leecher now hated these watches, for I always have to seek his help when wearing them, haha! Troublesome watches, he coined.

Pet dog from one of the stall owners. He was sooo grumpy for he couldn't get his sleep from all the customers in the stall.

*******
Have to stop for now, heading to bed after a long day @ work .... need the comfort of my huggies :) tata!

PicPrints - Up in the Air

While I'm not traveling, I yearn to be up in the skies. The irony of life.

Taiwan: YangMingshan - 小油坑

TGIF! Can't believe another week has gone past just like that - been busy at work and planning the new objectives/goals for next year before my boss goes back to UK to visit his family for Xmas. Have plans to go Xmas shopping this weekend, hopefully it will materialize! Another post on TW, before I get busy for the weekend :)

Rise & Shine to another day in Taiwan. Prepared & headed out early. The streets were still pretty empty.

Breakfast @ KFC! I think this is my 1st time trying KFC's breakfast - amongst all the fast food outlets, KFC is my least favourite, so I seldom step foot into the place, unless I have a craving for their cheese fries.

Headed to Beitou station, to take the bus up YangMingshan.

Xin Beitou was developed as a hot spring resort during the Japanese era. Over the years, this area is well known for its high quality spas, good hotels, excellent living accommodation and green and lush environment.

On the way up to YangMingShan bus station.

Bus 108 is the official bus that you can take to tour YangMingShan - you can choose to stop at any one of the stops, enjoy the scenery before taking the bus to the next destination.

The weather was bright and sunny, out came all our shades for the extra protection.

Some berries that Parents-in-law bought from the fruit vendor.

Up the winding road to our 1st destination.

小油坑 is the best known recreation site in YangMingShan. This spot is at an elevation of 800m. where sulphur crystals can be seen and hot springs discharging endless streams of boiling water.

In front of the Visitor Center, leaving our footprints behind.

小油坑, a huge volcanic fumarole that spews out hot stream and sulphur gases. It formed part of the walking trail that leads up to Qixingshan, the highest peak in Yangmingshan.

You can instantly smell sulphur in the air, and it can get unpleasant after a while.

The scenery is breathtaking! It was certainly good to be out in the nature and enjoy the sun.

*guilty of photo-spamming* haha! We got carried away and took massive lots of pictures during this journey, haha! It's not very often that we can travel together, so must take more pictures :)

Family pic :)

OK, have to head to bed now, have a good wkend & will continue next week :) Tata!
