2 hours journey to the Villa @ Ubud; Leecher was super excited as I booked the place without telling him *surprise*
Nefatari! I googled for a long time & the endless emails that I sent to secure a villa here :) *mental note to travel off-peak season next time*
Leecher can't wait to get into the pool! We got upgraded to a 2-bedroom villa as well.
Complimentary afternoon snack delivered to our villa. I totally love this Balinese sweet, known as Dadar Poleng (Balinese rolled pancake stuffed with grated coconut and palm sugar). We first came across this @ Sate Bali, but I prefer the ones served in the villa. The softness of the pancake coupled with the sweetness of coconut and palm sugar just leaves you craving for more!
Leecher simply adores the pool, can't wait to jump back into the pool after his snack.
We even had our own private sun-tanning area. I almost fell asleep in this tranquil peace.
"One tropical monsoon morning, when the restaurant was very close to being finished (we had the concrete floor down, and the tables in), a flock of ducks from the rice field across the road (yes, there were rice fields all around us then) ran quacking and squawking into the restaurant and across the floor and tables. They left muddy webbed footprints all over the place. They were our first guests - those dirty ducks !"
Food galore! We ordered their signature Bebek Bengil Crispy Duck & the platter. The signature crispy duck is steamed in Indonesian spices and fried for a crispy finish. The fragrance of the duck lingered in your mouth & Leecher even attempted to chew the bones!
As the night was still young, we decided to head out to another restaurant for desserts (another highly recommended place from Leecher's reseach). We were told that it was walking distance from Dirty Duck, around 10 mins by foot.
5 mins has passed and I was beginning to feel that we might have lost our way, so we approached another passer-by to ask for directions.
Me: Hello, how do I get to this place?
Passer-by: Walk straight along this path for 10 mins
After 10 mins, we still couldn't manage to find the place, so Leecher approached another person.

Finally, we reached!
Casa Luna offers a fine selection of Balinese and Mediterranean dishes. However, we were too full from our dinner & headed straight for the desserts.
Leecher ordered the above, claiming that its' their signature. Erm, I only took 1 tiny mouth and put a stop to it. Coconut & alcohol don't go well and the bananas. Skip this if you can.
Lemon cheesecake? I can't really remember, but it definitely tastes better than the soggy mess.
