Friday night out, took the train to town & met up with Kenneth dear first before meeting EK & Pris.
I'm so glad to explore new eating places with my friends, who are mostly foodies! This means that they will always be on the lookout of new eating outlets and I just have to tag along, heehee! Guess I've caught on Leecher's leeching bug as well :)
Hosted on the patio, recommended by Pris. The tranquil garden landscaping - lots of greenery and bird cages - makes this place a perfect venue for a garden wedding. They even have a live band, which takes in song dedications.
Early bird catches the worm! We were just in time for happy hours and went ahead to order 1-for-1 beer without EK, lol!
Started with Swiss brown mushroom - oven baked swiss brown mushroom, lovingly filled with a delightful capsicum relish and herb crust.
Bite-sized snapper fillets dipped in beer batter and fried to a golden brown hue, served with fries and tartar sauce.
EK & Pris turned up just when food is being served, heehee, perfect timing! We ordered several main dishes for sharing.
Succulent sea tiger prawns, roasted cherry tomatoes and fresh herbs with spaghetti aglio olio style.
Grilled angus beef tenderloin on roasted herb potato and porchini red wine sauce.
Pan roasted Barramundi on olive and bean ragout, grilled asparagus and vanilla bean oil
Wood-smoked french duck breast, nestled amongst asparagus and mushrooms with linguine pasta. All tied together with fragrant rose sauce.
As usual, girls always have a separate stomach with it comes to desserts and especially when it concerns chocolate!
Molten dark chocolate fondant - velvety, rich, warm chocolate fondant accompanied with vanilla bean ice cream, yummy~
Smooth, cream cheese cake swirled with chocolate and set on a buttery wafer base and strawberry cake topped with berry sauce.
Generally, a good place to chill out with friends over a few drinks, away from the hustles of the city.

Baby Kayden's Full Month Party
Guess where I'm heading?
Gosh, he has grown so big, compared to my last visit @ the hospital.
Proud parents, Siewhui & Alvin. Congrats! Waiting for more good news, heehee :)

Leecher trying to carry baby Kayden. Surprisingly, baby Kayden was very co-operative and didn't cry when he was being passed from one person to another.
He fell asleep when I carried him, lol! Guess he must be very sleepy after staying awake for almost the whole day.

BKK Biz Trip Jan 2011 P4
Time for breakfast again!
With the fave travelling partner :)
Took a peak at the hotel's swimming pool. Aw, I wished I'm here on vacation instead of working. Lying by the poolside with a glass of cocktail, woohoo! But then again, doubt I'll stay in 4-stars hotel when I'm travelling on my own, heehee! Rather save the money for more shopping :)
We had some personal time, as our flight was at 9pm~ Tried to change our flight to an earlier timing but no avail. Thus, we went to MBK. I always hear my friends talking about MBK & finally, I have a chance to see it on my own! This centre was named after the parents of the developer Sirichai Bulakul, Mah and Boonkrong, whose statues grace the ground floor.
Bangkok traffic is a shocker., it can take 20 mins to move 1km and it gets worse during peak hours.
Guess who we met in BKK? Tom Cruise ~ Madame Tussauds recently opened in Bangkok, so this was part of their roadshow. The 500-million baht attraction is the tenth Madame Tussauds to open worldwide, third in Asia joining sister attractions in Hong Kong and Shanghai, and first in South East Asia.
Late lunch/early dinner @ Coffee & Cream, a roadside stall before we made our way back to the hotel to pick up our luggages.

BKK Biz Trip Jan 2011 P3
BKK Day 2, buffet morning spread from the hotel.
Not much of a variety, but morning tea is a good perk-me-up, especially given that we went to bed late last night.
We were famished when we walked into Taling Pling, one of the local thai restaurant that serve decent thai dishes. Irregular eating hours are the downside of business trip, it was 3pm when we took the first bite since breakfast. Mega love the Thai ice tea!
For dinner, we went to a restaurant that was recommended by the hotel concierge. He revealed that he will be bringing his GF to this place & will be proposing to her, heehee, so sweet :)
Finally, we saw the entrance to the restaurant, which was nested at the end of the walkway. Given that we had late lunch, we went for desserts at this place.
This restaurant overlooks the river against the majestic backdrop of the Rattanakosin skyline. It would be good if you can get an outdoor view, where you can feel the gentle river-breeze against your skin and enjoy the majestic temple in full glory.
Headed up to Amorosa bar on the 4th floor for pic taking & also to enjoy the river breeze as we were sat indoor. I'm sure the view would be magnificent during sun-rise/sun-set. *mental note to plan a trip back if possible* Dunno if it was the effects of the breeze or the late night previously, but I slept like a log when I returned to hotel.
