Wedding Celebrations - Morning Preparation P1

The start of a new quarter, which prompted me that I'm at the last stage of our wedding journey, which is the big day! The photographers gave us close to 950 of edited pictures, so will be blogging by bits and pieces. Will also upload to FB for our friends to tag themselves.

Leecher started the day early and Tingfeng (one of our photographer) went to his place to capture his preparation.

The brothers surprisingly were early! All listening to Leecher's last min briefing on the day's program while waiting for Mac breakfast! The sisters already told the brothers to go easy on breakfast, for they have prepared a hearty meal for them.

Praying to his ancestors and god, to por-bi por-bi our marriage and maybe adding in wishes that I'll be more 听话 and do all the housework, haha.

Time to 梳头, to signify that Leecher is finally a 大人. They couldn't rem the blessings, so need to google for it using the phone. The 4 blessings are:

一梳梳到尾，(First combing, together all your lives) 二梳百年好合，(Second combing, harmony in your marriage) 三梳子孙满堂，(Third combing, blessed with many children and grandchildren) 四梳白发齐眉。(Fourth combing, blessed with longevity).

Wedding Celebrations - Prelude

Preparations must all be completed and finalized a day before the actual day!

Went to buy more red wine for the dinner, though the hotel has provided us with more than enough bottles of wine.

The wedding frame that dear Van 大嫂 did for my wedding! So sweet of her and it follows the exact embossing that we have on our wedding bands.

Rainbow hearts & eggs as part of gate-crashing! The sisters did such a lovely job! Love them to max!!

Lastly, our trusty Jet as our wedding car - even more memorable as we bought this car together :) Leecher tied all the decorations himself and he was uber proud of it!

Work trip to BKK and heading home this evening. Such a coincidence that Bro-in-Law was here as well and we even stayed in the same hotel! The end of the month and thinking back, it has been almost 1 yr since we bought Jet. When Leecher first harboured the thought of owning car, I was very much against it, for that meant additional expenses every month. After calculating and working things out, I finally gave in to his reasoning. Then, it was extensive research on Leecher's part (I've nv seen him so focused before in researching!). Finally, he shortlisted the car and went for test drive and within weeks, he decided on the car.

We were able to collect the car after 3 weeks of waiting! And it turned out that the car delivery day was an auspicious day for us when I flipped the fengshui book by chance.

Project Thursday - Twilight

Shot this @ the lil's bro navy party, where he set sail for almost 6 weeks.

Wedding Gown Selection

As the big day draws nearer, we scheduled another trip to SG Bridal house to select the gowns & suits :)

Leecher had it easy, as he only need to try on the different types of suits.

I spent almost 3 hours trying out 4 sets of gowns.

Brides-to-be have a special instinct towards the right gown, your heart will automatically react to it once you have put on the gown - so keep on choosing till you feel it! After I shortlisted the above gowns, I had a strange feeling that those were not the right ones - so I called Ivy and asked if I could re-choose all the gowns & she agreed (thumbs up for their service!). So we went in for another round & finally, I managed to find what I wanted!

The friday before the wedding, we drove into JB to pick up the gowns.

Collecting our Marriage Cert

Collected our marriage cert a week before the wedding.

Woke up bright and early, I was so excited that I didn't sleep well the night before.

Felt as though we were heading back to office for we took the same route to ROM.

Waiting patiently for our turn.

Crap, our turn! I wasn't prepared yet!

It was a short 15 mins, where we signed the documents. Leecher (the punter) calling our parents to tell them the marriage cert number.

Had a late breakfast/brunch before I went back to the office for work while Leecher continued to laze around the house doing ....... nothing.

Project Thursday - Snippets of Love from Mum

Mummy dearest with her fabulous cooking. She even separates the middle joints (for me) and drumlets for Leecher, mega LOVE!
