Tom Ton

Today is the first Friday of the month of August, hence Blamer and I decided to go for something better tonight.

TomTon at Central.
Supposedly this is a restaurant that serves the legendary black pig or Berkshire Pig. It is said that the meat of the Berkshire pig is much more flavorful compared with our normal pink pig and that the restaurant is famous for their Tonkatsu.

The restaurant is separated into three sections. There are the window seats, the sushi bar counter and lastly cosy partitioned rooms just opposite the sushi bar. I think someone reserved the whole window seats section and the partitioned rooms, poor me and Blamer could only sit at the sushi counter. However, while waiting for our orders, we got to see how the chefs prepared the food.

Like this poor crab which was being chopped up. But he looked sort of fierce right?

Finally, my order, black pig soba. Was thinking of eating ramen initially but since this restaurant specializes in black pig, reckon I should try it.

The soba was so-so, however, this soup tat contains the goodness of the thinly sliced black pig was... ...

Mmm... ... Very nice!

Blamer ordered their katsu don. The meat was really tender and I quite like the sweet sauce that they served together with the egg and rice.

Oh and Blamer's set comes with miso soup, which contains not ur nornal tofu and seaweed. This bowl came with bits of pork, radish, corrects and lotsa spring onions.

They even serve complimentary fruits.

Highly satisfied couple. Although next time, I'm will try out their sukiyaki or their shabu shabu.

Ha ha, the random full body pic. How come I dun hv such pics? Maybe I shld start taking them. Ha ha.

Daddy's Birthday

It's my Dad's birthday, Roger decided to take us out to Riverside Indonesian Restaurant to check out their bbq.

Hmm... riverside dining while we were sitting so far away from the river? But I reckon this was better cos I recall that the river wasn't exactly very sweet smelling either, ha ha.

Wow, wat a spread. There are different combinations to choose from and we ordered the $16.80 per pax for about 7 dishes I think. Of cos, the drinks were included.

Their table setting.

Some cam-whoring. Too bad my photo-shopping skills aren't as good as XX, if not, I could have remove the zits on Blamer's forehead. Hee hee.

Crackers were served as starters, but I think the ones they serve at Lemongrass Thai Restaurant tasted better.

Lime juice all round and the rice in a very interesting bucket.

The first few dishes: Bean sprouts, sambal stingray and otah-otah.

Follow by: Tauhu telok, bbq prawns, bbq sotong and their ayam. According to Roger, the ayam is the best dish of the lot. I think so too and the prawns as well.

After dinner, we decided to bring papa to a treat.

An ice cold beer at Brewerkz-known for their freshly brewed beer.

While walking over to Brewerkz, we came across this fountain... ...

Blamer insist on taking a pic with it. Wat abt me?

Oh they have so many different types of beers to choose from. Light lager and those dark ale.

Ordered some sausages and cheeses to go down with the beer.

Went to the toilet to a leak but while I was there, I saw their secret... ...

Wow, ha ha their stash of freshly brewed beer.

Pic of the day... ... (not the individual full body pic for a change *hee*)

First Branded that Blamer bought for me

Blamer came back with three shopping bags today... ...

But she handed me the smallest of them all... ... : (

Still, tingling with anticipation... ...

Gasp! The dust bag, I'm seeing the dust bag... ...

Unveiling the long awaited... ...

Ta Dah... ...

Wa... ... Not very LV-ish leh. Taiga print. Who knows it's a LV? Can anyone see the LV discreetly imprinted on the bottom right corner? (as describe on their website)

Hmm... not to be outdone...

Must open up the wallet, wa ha ha ha. Can u see the silvery words? Just to quote Blamer's brother who mention "Luckily it's made in France. Not made in China" Wa ha ha.

Yeah! Finally can chop Blamer's carrot jia lat jia lat.

However, Blamer retaliated... ...

Big stab to my newly acquired LV wallet. She actually drove an Excalibur equivalent into my wallet and poke a very big hole for this Miu Miu bag. But I quite like this bag, maybe if she dun wan to use it, I can use it as a metro-sexual accessory.

Lastly, she bought this Trevi PM bag out of her own pocket, cost a freaking over 2 grand. I still think the Miu Miu I bought for her looks better. Waste money. Ha ha ha.

爱心Cupcake

Today Blamer surprised me with a white paper bag while waiting to lunch with me.

That's me with my present.

And Blamer showing off. If u were thinking that the backgrd looks like some coffee shop, you're right! This coffee shop situated around circular rd serves delicious bah chor mee.

The bah chor mee comes with anchovies, quite unique. However, their specialty is supposed to be bar chor mee sua. Too bad we din order that this time.

But the 主角 of the day is still my 爱心 cupcake. So sweet and rare of Blamer to buy such expensive stuff for me. Did I tell you that the cupcakes from Marmalade Pantry cost over $4 each?

Opening up the present at a secret location near our workplace. Blamer and I always come here to escape the crowd.

Expensive stuff 就是 expensive stuff, even comes with a matching box.

Tah Da! My 爱心 cupcake!

But me will always share good stuffs with my Blamer. 一人一半, 感情不会散。 : )

And this is one of those full body pics of Blamer again, sorry folks, u've got to endure this for a couple more weeks, till she lose the "mood". Hee hee.

Lucky Plaza Chicken Rice

I have discovered another chicken rice store, courtesy of Miaoli this time. Located on the third level (or is it second level?) of Lucky Plaza, this shop is tucked away at a cosy corner. Decided to bring Blamer here since she is tired of all the restaurants and food court around Orchard.

The chicken up close.

The whole set.

Extra dumpling soup.

Happy couple!

Your random "full body pics of me" : )

Eat out

Today, we decided to try out one of the good hideouts from lunch courtesy of queenqian. The overhead bridge connecting DBS and UIC building I think.

Whoa would u just look at the queue? Luckily me and Blamer made our way there early.

Hey hey, two plates of chicken rice with a bowl of bitter gourd soup all for just $7.50. Love the roast chicken, crispy and savory. Blamer like the soup too, given that she dun really like the taste of bitter gourd, this soup must have been really good.

These days, she's in a "take a full body pic of me" mood. So here another of those random pics. Ha ha.

For dinner, we visited Carls Jr. There used to be discounts if u pay using Citibank credit cards, but nowadays, they switched to UOB. So folks remember to whip out ur UOB next time.

YUMMY!
