Sporty Monday & Lazy Friday

{overdue post again, haha} Can't believe the 3 of us actually took co-ordinated leave (after endless discussion on MSN) for a fun-filled day in eastern part of Singapore :) The weather was slightly gloomy earlier (huge downpour), despite that, we still met up as planned.

Walked around Kallang Leisure Park (basically nothing much there) for 2 rounds before we decided to laze our time @ this Donut place. Interestingly, this place is co-owned by a Jap couple. I wonder if their donuts' standard will match those of Mister Donut?

Donuts, donuts and donuts :) Decent enough though can't match Mister Donut.

Partner-in-crime # 1: Benita

Partner-in-crime # 2: Xiaoqiang (doing his famous stuck-out-your-tongue pose, :P)

As it was still pouring heavily outside, we went for bowling session @ the mall

Looks empty? Nah, it was super crowded even on a Monday afternoon.

The socks have the bowling pins sewed on, looks better than just plain white socks.

Getting ready for the bowling battle!

Bring up the Xmas-themed scoreboard!

First up: Xiaoqiang in his v pro pose.

I am actually a NOOB in bowling, haha. My forte is to let the ball roll into the "drain", wa ha ha

Looks like I am going for a strike? Haha, I think I managed to knock down 8 pins for this :) Yeah!

Benita with her almost-going-to-score-a-strike-pose

Our pathetic scoreboard after 1 game, haha.

Tremendous improvement for the 2nd game :) *clap clap*

The bowling noobs champions

Time to head out to ECP!

My bike with the usual basket, heehee...

We bought the same pair of shades!

Xiaoqiang giving a victory sign for completing his "cycling'' course. He was so enthusiastic about cycling that he even cycled in the rain while Beni & I seek shelter @ the pavilion.

The trio who "conquered" ECP.

Utterly famished after all the activities & a packet of Mac fries later, I had a sudden craving for kway chap and we ordered lots of delicious food to share.

Well, so much for trying to be healthy :)

Impromptu KTV session (chop chop discussion on MSN) on a Friday evening. We builled made Xiaoqiang make reservation since he was on leave.

The usual servings in KTV

Trying to scan for his fave songs in the playlist

Leecher
leeched came to join us while waiting for his frens for dinner.

So uncle-ish handsome :P

The session was very fun! Singing to oldies like Aaron Kwok's 对你爱不完 and the dance/hand moves, watching MTVs that are almost a decade old and changing lyrics of songs for fun & laughter :)

We should do this more often! Volunteers to plan for the next outing?

Bdae Treat & Presents

{yes, still at my bdae, haha; last post to sum up everything on my bdae} Rinta & I received our bdae presents at the same day! There was supposed to be a ploy in giving out the presents, but somehow, it backfired, hahaa....

Thanks guys for the present! I love it and still can't bear to use it yet :)

To Fongling, Miaoli, Yanbo & my little bro - thanks for the presents and the cards; I really treasure the thought! Bobo: rem the date ar, don't forget this year! haha

Meanwhile, Yaozu kindly offered to give me a bdae treat :)

We went to The Teahouse @ Raffles City. I kinda like the signature duck & the garlic spare-ribs. The garlic wasn't too overwhelming yet spices up the dish.

Leecher decided to tag along for my bdae treat. Haiz, his leeching instincts @ work again. Poor Yaozu, hahaa :P

Popped by Ben & Jerry for ice-cream! Yummy yum yum .... once again, Leecher leeched on the treat that I gave Yaozu. I just realised that Leecher shared the bowl of ice-cream with 2 sick pple, haha. Heng he didn't fall sick....if not, serve him right, wa ha ha.....

That's all for my bdae this year! Once again, I thanked all those who rem my bdae and I am truly blissed to have all of you by my side :)

Blamer's Bdae Celebration Cum Anniversary! 13Dec09

Blamer's actual Birthday cum it's our 3rd Year Anniversary! Such a special day calls for Chef Leecher to come down from his 宝山 and put on his chef hat for his beloved Blamer.

Of cos, there will always be damage to the wallet. Ouch*

Hee hee a pic of the ingredients needed.

Chef Leecher preparing the ingredients for my fusion dish of aglio olio maggie mee.

Marinate the chicken fillets and prawns with a bit of salt and Italian herbs.

Cook the maggie mee in hot boiling water for 2-3 minutes. Dun forget they are maggie mee, not spagetti. Hence 2-3 minutes enuf liao.

To add some springy-ness (aka bite) to the mee, run them under cold tap water till the temperature of the noodle cools down.

Time to start cooking proper. Stir fry the garlic till it's fragrant, must add lotsa garlic for taste.

Add in the chicken first, followed by the prawns.

Add in the Mee and mix it thoroughly. Pour in lotsa olive oil, crushed black peppercorn and Italian herbs, salt to taste.

The finished product. Aglio olio maggie mee with chicken and prawns topped with Italian herbs.

Meanwhile, Blamer was busy setting the mood for our romantic lunch.

Tea-light lunch @ Leecher's house. Priceless... Ha ha.

Tuck in! Excuse me for the messiness of the room.

After lunch, went out with Blamer to Parkway Parade shopping centre. I just got to know that there's a free shuttle bus service at Seng Kang MRT to ferry people to and fro PP.

Eye-check, eye-check! Maybe it's time to make a new pair of specs too.

Going to put on the ugly test specs soon.

Getting tested by Roger.

Maybe I should just get this. So pro... ... ha ha ha.

Auntie-ish Blamer exercised her charm and swindled Roger of his freebies, which included a laptop bag, a foldable umbrella and a notebook.

Since it's Blamer's birthday, good old Roger decided to give her a treat as well. (wa she super 赚到 today. got freebies, still got treat) Brought us to this Chinese restaurant that sells 小笼包.

Spotted lots of errors on the menu. Tea became Noodles?

Soup of the day became Every Day cooks the soup. Direct translation.

My personal favourite: Bah Chor Mee became Pork is broken roasting noodles. Wa ha ha ha. Laughed till I flipped when I read this.

A tired looking Roger, maybe he realised he got conned by Blamer for the meal and freebies le.

Cheeky pic while waiting for the food.

The appetiser, fatty pork belly in spicy sauce. This dish got my vote as the best among the lot.

葱油饼, the Chinese's answer to Roti-Prata.

Their fried mince meat buns. Nothing really special about this dish.

They called this 妈妈炸的鱼. Quite tasty. Got my vote as the second best dish.

Lastly their 小笼包!

Toing- toing! Yummy looking dumplings filled with the juice from the meat inside.
