Blamer's Bdae Celebration Cum Anniversary! 13Dec09

Blamer's actual Birthday cum it's our 3rd Year Anniversary! Such a special day calls for Chef Leecher to come down from his 宝山 and put on his chef hat for his beloved Blamer.

Of cos, there will always be damage to the wallet. Ouch*

Hee hee a pic of the ingredients needed.

Chef Leecher preparing the ingredients for my fusion dish of aglio olio maggie mee.

Marinate the chicken fillets and prawns with a bit of salt and Italian herbs.

Cook the maggie mee in hot boiling water for 2-3 minutes. Dun forget they are maggie mee, not spagetti. Hence 2-3 minutes enuf liao.

To add some springy-ness (aka bite) to the mee, run them under cold tap water till the temperature of the noodle cools down.

Time to start cooking proper. Stir fry the garlic till it's fragrant, must add lotsa garlic for taste.

Add in the chicken first, followed by the prawns.

Add in the Mee and mix it thoroughly. Pour in lotsa olive oil, crushed black peppercorn and Italian herbs, salt to taste.

The finished product. Aglio olio maggie mee with chicken and prawns topped with Italian herbs.

Meanwhile, Blamer was busy setting the mood for our romantic lunch.

Tea-light lunch @ Leecher's house. Priceless... Ha ha.

Tuck in! Excuse me for the messiness of the room.

After lunch, went out with Blamer to Parkway Parade shopping centre. I just got to know that there's a free shuttle bus service at Seng Kang MRT to ferry people to and fro PP.

Eye-check, eye-check! Maybe it's time to make a new pair of specs too.

Going to put on the ugly test specs soon.

Getting tested by Roger.

Maybe I should just get this. So pro... ... ha ha ha.

Auntie-ish Blamer exercised her charm and swindled Roger of his freebies, which included a laptop bag, a foldable umbrella and a notebook.

Since it's Blamer's birthday, good old Roger decided to give her a treat as well. (wa she super 赚到 today. got freebies, still got treat) Brought us to this Chinese restaurant that sells 小笼包.

Spotted lots of errors on the menu. Tea became Noodles?

Soup of the day became Every Day cooks the soup. Direct translation.

My personal favourite: Bah Chor Mee became Pork is broken roasting noodles. Wa ha ha ha. Laughed till I flipped when I read this.

A tired looking Roger, maybe he realised he got conned by Blamer for the meal and freebies le.

Cheeky pic while waiting for the food.

The appetiser, fatty pork belly in spicy sauce. This dish got my vote as the best among the lot.

葱油饼, the Chinese's answer to Roti-Prata.

Their fried mince meat buns. Nothing really special about this dish.

They called this 妈妈炸的鱼. Quite tasty. Got my vote as the second best dish.

Lastly their 小笼包!

Toing- toing! Yummy looking dumplings filled with the juice from the meat inside.
