KTV session

It's me, back in action ... at least for this post! My lappie is still in coma & I have to wait in line to use lil bro's laptop, so postings will be a bit slow till

(1) A miracle happen and my lappie decides to function well again OR
(2) A new laptop at Q3 or Q4 IT show OR
(3) Leecher decides to blog on a regular basis

If not, I think it will be next year before I get down to blog about Phuket/Taiwan/KL trips ... but meanwhile, here's the recent outing that I had with my sisters & Bobo!

*Seriously, this is the most recent post in dunno-how-many-months :)

A very impromptu KTV session, which happened over FB comments ...

Snacks to munch, much to Bobo's delight :)

We need to force Bobo to sing as he's not a singing person .... SHERO was the highlight of the night.

Bobo & Jinlian ... oh, once again, congrats to JL! heehee :)

Thanks Nijun for booking the room & I rem that Fling was sick on that day, but came along to have fun with us. So touched, but I think its cuz she missed me too much :P

We had fun singing oldies ... were happily singing Grasshoppers' songs when the waiter came in for last order and everyone just stopped singing. Damn paiseh!

So high that we decided to linger and take pictures! I think this is the 1st time that the 5 of us hang out together. Usually, its either one of the following:

(1) sec 204 girls
(2) sec 301/401 classmates
(3) sister
(4) councillor gang

So, I have decided to separate out the pictures based on the 4 groups above for easier viewing :)

Sec 204 girls! Totally missing 204 days, speaking of which - I need to load the 204 gathering pics on FB soon!

Sec 301/401 classmates

My dear sister!

The councillor gang. Trying to act as Bobo's GF here, looks like it?

Let's organise the next outing soon! We can check out the new KBOX near my place aka home ground, wa ha ha.

Blamer's Treat!

This was way back in Feb on a Sunday, we were sitting on sofa chair waiting to be called.

The view outside... ...

Guessed it yet? Sky Dining courtesy of Blamer!

Being a tourist spot, there's definitely a photo taking kiosk for remembrance sake.

On board the flyer finally. There were two other couples sharing the cabin with us, but we were too shy to ask for a photo together with them, let alone take photos of them. We will be going for two rotations which amounts to an hour in total as each complete rotation takes approximately half an hour.

Pieces of bread topped with salmon tatare and olives to kick-start our meal.

Our friendly cabin butler who will be at our beck and call for the entire "flight". He's busy concocting a refreshing drink of summer berries in ginger ale.

Our appetizer, Pan-fried Hokkaido scallops with garden greens in a sweet and tangy sauce.

Cheers to good health!

At about now, we had reached the top of the flyer, 142 metres in all, around 42-stories high. Currently the biggest observation wheel in the world.

With a viewing radius of 45 kilometres, it is 3 kilometres more that the entire length of our island city. From the Flyer, it is able for us to see Changi Airport, Sentosa Island and even parts of Malaysia and Indonesia. But if you really wanna see all those, dun ride in at night like us wa ha ha.

Familiar landmark behind us? I think it's Suntec City.

Second rotation and in came the mains. The Flyer never stops turning, hence the waiters and waitresses was so hastily placing the dishes on our tables before darting out of the cabin, so as not to be taken up into the sky with us.

I took the salmon which was a little over-cooked in my opinion, and the sauce tasted like soy sauce base and a tad too salty for me. I preferred the grilled asparagus and french beans to the fish.

Blamer's stew beef was on the contrary, really tender and flavourful... Should have conned her into exchanging it with me... ...

Last panoramic view of our city of skyscrapers before we began our final descent. I think the Maybank building really stood out among the rest due to lighting that ran the full length of the building.

We proceed to the restaurant on the ground for our dessert.

Mango pudding with strawberry jelly and crunchy cookies by the side. I really like the diversity in texture when you combine everything - the cookies, jelly and pudding. The burst of flavours is indescribable.

My best dish of the night!!

Being total suckers, Blamer and I bought and were waiting for the photo taken before we boarded the Flyer. We contributed to Singapore's double digit growth figure.

Ta Da... Still around the Lunar New Year period. An auspicious tiger as the macot, I was trying to pluck out one of the whiskers for memento but failed... ...

Mustn't forget to give thanks to our dear butler, who gave us great service and tried umpteen times trying the take the perfect picture for us.

Home Sweet Home!

We've come to the end of our Japan adventures and this will be the last post on our Japan trip. I still have tons of backlogs to clear & to make things worse, my trusty laptop of 7 years chose to throw tantrums at this instance :( Maybe its time for me to buy a new laptop, but I will still try to salvage my old buddy. She has been saved twice & I'm hoping that a miracle will happen! Meanwhile, Leecher will be tasked to blog! *maybe I should delay the buying of a new laptop, so Leecher can have a taste of his own medicine, wa ha ha*

Anyway, back to the Japan post: We packed our bags, left our apartment to take the train to the designated Metro station for the airport bus shuttle service.

With 7 pieces of luggage b/w us, the strategy was simple: waste no time in finding the bus stop, which was quite a distance from the Metro station. So, we did our homework the night before: we asked our friendly apartment attendants for help, heehee.

We made it just on time for the 7am bus service!

Coming coming!

Headed for Narita Airport :) As we boarded the bus, we can't help but feel a tinge of sadness. I wonder when would be the next time we would visit this country again? There are still a lot of places left unexplored & I would love to watch the cherry blossoms one day!

Trying to find our way in this huge airport.

The check-in queue for our flight, we were stuck in the queue for almost 30 mins.

Leecher with our luggages, which added up to 50kg! No excess charge *thank god!* I was happy to get rid of the luggages, as that meant that I can buy more stuff at duty-free, heehee! I lugged back an additional 5 big boxes of white-lovers chocolates, yummy!

Boarding passes for Tokyo > KL & KL > SG.

Airplane food, which I happened to develop a liking overtime :) It's funny how MAS served Japanese food when we left Japan and not on the way there.

Bye Japan! You've given us lots of joy & happiness during our stay. We will visit again as long as Leecher gets to eat his tofu meal next time :P
