Wedding: SSL & Uncle Teo Part One

I'm called up for another bridesmaid duty, the first of many this year - haha! Mummy dearest used to tell me that a (single) girl should not be a bridesmaid more than 3 times, if not, she will end up being left on the shelf. Thankfully, I'm already married, so I can be as a bridesmaid as many times as I want to, heh.

The usual meetup time at 6am. I must have looked like a bright neon highlighter from afar, lol! Most of my bridesmaid dresses thus far are in different hues of pink & orange - looked like these are the 2 favourite wedding colours :) I took a cab from Punggol and was damn unlucky to board one which reeked of cigarette smell :( I endured the smell until I buay tahan and requested for uncle to wind down the window for fresh air.

The same team that I engaged for my wedding, the photographers from WOW! Photography & Tracy, were there as well! Haha, now I upgraded to the status of ex-老板娘. I took a couple of shots using their cameras & boy, their cameras are really heavy! They even got their own vests woh, not bad huh!

Once the bride is ready, it was time to shut the gates and wait for the groom + his brother gang to appear. We have prepared a couple of games for them, all based on the bride's requests woh. The brother gang made good use of their brutal strength & bulldozed into the living room, even "hurting" some of the sisters in progress ... but all in good fun. Then, it was time to head out for photoshoot.

SSL & Uncle Teo all ready to set off. Uncle Teo must be extremely grateful to be in the air-conditioned car, since he was sweating buckets earlier during gatecrashing.

3 bridesmaid in the car driven by one of the brothers, who happened to know one of Miao's friend. The world is indeed very small.

Back to BPGHS for pic-taking since both SSL and Uncle Teo were ex-bpians. It has been a long time since I returned back to school and I couldn't recognised it at first! Gone were the courtyard that we fondly remember for all the gossip sessions :(

Memorable days!

We headed to the only area that did not undergo any "facelift" for outdoor photo-taking. 1425556_10152394276842942_1776601036_n1395857_10152394276652942_2112149171_n

The brother gang, dressed in Akatsuki outfits, were deep in discussion on what they wanna pose with the groom .... and they thought of this epic pose which was really funny! 1451596_10152394278367942_820418377_n
One last pic before we moved indoors. 1391876_10152394281977942_644237529_n1395140_10152394280137942_1909301005_n
We sat there watching the 2 love birds flirting with each other. I really missed our schooling days as I sat in my own seat. This was the exact classroom which we enjoyed 2 years of lower secondary life together. The fond memories that I hold dear to my heart :)

Off to Uncle Teo's house for tea ceremony & looked who came along? Baby Liam in the house :) He was feeling sleepy but brightened up as soon as I whipped out my phone. Nowadays, kids are naturally attracted to gadgets, especially iPhones & iPads.

Naughty Liam biting my phone, lol! How not to fall in love with him?

Happy family :) We all concur that Baby Liam looks more like Daddy - exactly like a mould.

Liam had an important mission ~ that is to "jump bed" and bless SSL & Uncle Teo with kids soon, heh. Will be back with Part Two on reception + dinner soon, tata!

Junior Chefs @ Work II - Oct Edition

I think that amongst all my blog entries, Junior Chefs' entries are the most up-to-date cuz it's now the Oct edition :) After cooking for almost 5 months - well, Leecher does most of the cooking anyway - I've grown used to eating Leecher's creation. Sometimes, I'll be working on stuff in front of my comp and Leecher will suddenly appear in the study room with a plate of food in his hands ... I love surprises like this, lol!
  IMG_6457
This plate of udon definitely looked pleasing & tasted delicious :) We even packed some of it for mummy dearest to try and she gave the thumbs up too.
IMG_6486IMG_6563
Leecher prepared more udon dishes over the next couple of days ~ fried udon with eggs & seafood udon, served with seafood soup.
IMG_6465
One of the rare times where we had 4 dishes on the table as parents-in-law dropped by for a visit & stayed for dinner. Leecher stir fried some vegetables and made teriyaki salmon while I heated up the soup & duck that I took from mummy dearest the night before.

We try to rotate between pasta, rice and noodles for our staple. Whenever we cooked pasta, I'll definitely cook extra so we can packed it for breakfast. IMG_6449
My pasta with eggs and chili flakes :)

With chicken and slices of mushroom.

Mummy dearest taught Leecher how to cook one of my fave dish ~ chicken wings/drumlets with tomatoes & chilli cooked over small fire. In his first attempt, Leecher burnt a whole pot cuz we were preoccupied with watching Running Man, lol! We had a hard time scrubbing the pot that was covered in soot. So, on his 2nd attempt we kept a close watch on the fire and it turned out well! We cooked the leftovers with pasta for dinner the next day.
IMG_6577IMG_6586
Leecher made braised meat (again) and we had our midnight "snack" of maggi mee+braised meat+seaweed in bed, lol!

Honeymoon: Moulin Rouge

P5093920
Happy mid-week ... can't believe that in 7 days time, it will be Christmas :) I have mentioned countless times that Dec is my fave month of the year  - with birthday/Xmas/New Year celebrations, yippee! Can't wait for BFF to be back with my birthday/Xmas present too, yippee! This time round, I took a longer time to recover from my post-holiday syndrome. I was checking on SQ flights over the weekend, lol! The next holiday ..... almost brewing in progress, haha! Just need to wait for Leecher to give his stamp of approval & I'll have to work doubly-hard to earn $$ to finance the trip. Our winter wonderland trip left me feeling very poor but I enjoyed every moment of it :) Blogging will resume, but at a slower pace so keep a lookout on this space!

After our river cruise, we just walked around the area trying to find our way to the train station for our next activity. Then, we chanced upon Chanel and I got a lil crazy outside the shop (^^)

Openly declaring my , heh. I have dedicated half a day for shopping later in the week, where I nearly went crazy - more on that later. P5093881
Taking the train to our next destination.

I was a fan of the movie "Moulin Rouge" when it hit the cinemas way back in 2001. Being the naive me at that time, I thought Moulin Rouge was just a title for the movie and it wasn't till years later did I realise that Moulin Rouge exists in real life.

You can spot the famous red windmill once you walked out from the metro station. Even though it was 30 min before show starts, a queue was formed outside the theater.
P5093890
We bought our tickets online to guarantee our seats. You can get to choose if you want the dinner+show tickets or just the show tickets. BFF went for dinner+show tickets and advised me to get just the show tickets. There are 2 shows daily, with the first seating at 9pm and the 2nd seating at 11pm.

I sneakily sneaked a picture inside the theater before the show started.

After a good 2-hour show on can-can dance, we emerged outside and saw that the sky was dark. However, the signature red windmill dazzled against the dark backdrop. We lingered for a while more to take pictures before calling it a day. P5093933
Took the metro back to our apartment.  P5093935P5093939
Prepared for supper - a meal of risotto & beef with Leecher's daily dosage of raspberry :) I really love the ready-packed food found in their supermarkets. They have so much varieties that I was literally begging Leecher to buy all so I could try and we did tried quite a couple during the trip to ease our hunger pangs in the middle of the night. Leecher, on the other hand, is not a fan of microwave food but thankfully he accommodates me whenever he can :)
