Aussie visitors in SG

We have Jamie & Zili (both from Aussie) who dropped by on different occassions, yet coincidentally, the team brought them to ....

Claypot laksa for lunch :)

I brought Zili there and he ordered the normal chicken laksa

Apparently, he loves the laksa very much that he polished off everything from his bowl. The aftermath: he finished one packet of tissue for he was sweating like hell, from the heat outside and inside :)

I ordered the seafood combo this time round, comes with scallops & abalone.

I had to eat my laksa with lots of caution, if I don't want my white blouse to be stained with the curry gravy.

Jamie came to visit us when she was back to SG for her vacation

I tompang her to get me the HAIGH's choclates, which she recommended the last time I was in SYDNEY. Now, my mum only like this chocolates and Leecher's mum likes this as well :) She also bought us violet crumbles, which has been a staple snack in the office for 3 months, with Elliott replenishing it when he went over to Aussie.

Took Jamie out to lunch and all of us ordered the chicken wing laksa while Elliott opted for the chicken wing claypot rice.

Once again, I am in white :( Why they like to eat laksa when I am dressed in white? >_<

** Note: The depot road laksa has closed down :( anyone have ideas where it relocate to?

爱心餐

Chef Leecher cooked another 爱心餐 for me *hugs*

1st: prepare the ingredients. Auntie helped him with it one lo, haha.

2nd step: cook the spaghetti in boiling hot water. I got help to stir it :)

A picture of Chef Leecher in his most "cui" form, hahaa

Blamer & Leecher in the kitchen :)

3rd step: once the spaghetti is cooked, we need to drain off the water. Auntie helped us with this, cuz she more expert in this area. Thank you, Auntie!

4th step: stir fried the ingredients. Oh, that is Auntie's cooking it by the way. Thought its supposed to be Leecher cooking?

5th step: pour in the tomato sauce (can be bought off the shelf from Fairprice). Still Auntie cooking.

6th step: pour in the spaghetti and cook together! That is still Auntie cooking lo; where the hell is Leecher?

Tadah! The finished product; yummy!

Meanwhile, we were both squeezing orange juice for Auntie to drink :P

Finally, Leecher reappeared again, posing with an orange this time. Kaoz, looks gayish rite? wa ha ha!

Me also got help out, yeah! *hungry already, time to eat!*

Zi Bao Chicken

One weekend while visiting Blamer at her place, Auntie suggested to eat 纸包鸡 for dinner.

Union 纸包鸡 located just beside SIM, not very accessible by public transport if u ask me, but Blamer says can take a bus den walk a bit.

Doesn't the place just gives u a kampong "feel"? The restaurant resides on quite a big plot of land. I wonder if the owner of the restaurant owns the land too. Must be very rich.

View taken for inside the restaurant, noticed that they worship a four-faced Buddha, thought the kid that served us looks a bit Thai too. But Blamer told me they are all Chinese.

TA DA the legendary chicken. I find that the price is a little on the high side though. For 36 pieces of this chicken, it cost $35. That is nearly a dollar for this piece of small chicken

The kid serving us conned me to order this mango prawn from him. Nothing special, but again 9 prawns for $20.

The only dish that I thought was surprisingly tasty went to their oyster sauce bee hoon. Simple yet superb in taste. $8 for the big packet.

Animal Farm Gathering

Been a while since I last met up with the AF gang. Special thanks to Winston for sending the email to me & Yunfa for picking us up :)

Popped by Weiming's house for the gathering & we had .....

KFC :) I miss their cheesy fries though, probably the best that I have ever tasted so far.

The happy family (our host for the day). Tian Le is so cute, but cannot pinch his cheeks with his parents around, haha.

Tian Le's own playhouse, cool leh ... The living room is huge enough to house his playhouse as well as for the rest of the furnitures, plus lots of space for Tian Le to run & dance :) Poor Chuan Yew had to dance with Tian Le whenever his fave songs are being played on TV.

See, he knew that I was taking pics and he quickly posed for the camera. However, he refused to let anyone else carry him except his parents.

With his motor car. He specially brought out this car from one corner of the house and pose for the pic :)

A group pic of the "uncles" and sister (me!) with Tian Le. He even gel his hair for the picture.

Haha, Winston & me wore matching colour clothes for the day, DUH. Got "chemistry" leh :)

We "broke" into Tian Le's playhouse as soon as he was off to take his nap. The AF gang, but a couple of them were missing. It's ok, we can still meet up next time round.

Tadah, the complete pic: AF gang with their 小妹. Till the next meet-up!

Aglio Olio

Recently got to know of a pasta place near my office that sells some decent pasta.

They offer value for money set dinner and lunch too. We ordered the set lunch for two which consists of two mains, soup, garlic bread, chicken wings side dish and drinks.

Blamer taking a pic off the mirror while waiting for our food.

Here comes the soup, I think this was chicken and corn soup.

The garlic bread was hot and crispy, but nothing to shout abt with regards to the garlic spread on the bread.

Yummy deep-fried chicken wings. Always tasty when they are piping hot!

My seafood olio. Very generous on the seafood and I must say they were really fresh too. One unique feature of this restaurant is that they will let you choose the degree of spiciness for your pasta ranging from mild to normal to very spicy. I think both Blamer and I stopped at normal.

Blamer's chicken olio. Not as impressive as mine ya?

Oh and this restaurant got a good marketing gimmick too. They gave us free $10 vouchers that can only be used to for dinner.

So here we are, back at night for dinner. (cheapo us want to use up the vouchers, dun waste right?)

A pic of Blamer, dressed for the night?

This time we tried their pizza and fried rice. Both seafood, both superb! By the way, I still have their loyalty card which entitles me to free chicken wings. Anybody game for lunch?
