Sentosa "Family" Day

Rather than sit and nuah like we always do on weekends, today hq jio us to go for his company's family day at Sentosa! So it's time to get up and kick some ass!

Our license to a fun-filled day at Sentosa, courtesy of Mr Lee of cos.

Making our way to the monorail station.

Couldn't resist the temptation to turn back for the camera wa ha ha ha.

Gateway to freedom!

Looks similar to our MRT, just that it has only four stops.

Some cam-whore action before the day starts... ...

Can't really capture the monorail, so instead, we took the scenery just before setting foot on Sentosa.

First group photo coming down the escalator from the monorail

As we were running late, we need a set of wheels to take us to Tanjong Beach.

Second group photo on our ride

Halfway there, we were faked by Mr Lee's colleagues that we were traveling in the opposite direction, hence we hastily hopped off the tram only to discover that we were faked, cos... ...

The sign was pointing in the same direction as where the tram was heading. Ended up, we had to... ...

Make our own way there on our "Kars"

After wat seems like hours... ...

Yeah!!! Sun, sand and the... ... sea? NO! The bikini babes!!! Here I come!

But the only bikini babe I saw was this... ... : (

Bo bian, grab first, talk later... ... wa ha ha ha...

Think I'll grab the "beach boy" as well... ...

Blamer is holding the goodie bag but after looking thru the contents... ...

I ended up with the bag : ( and was made to pose some niang pics with the bag... ...

Looking at the overcast sky in the backgrd, it's time to play some volley ball first before the weather gets worse.

That's me in the centre, perhaps u might want to click on the photo to see me clearer. Wa ha ha.

By the way, this is venue where the actual family day events were taking place.

Oh and this guy in the pic? Dun play play, ridiculous as it looks, he is the CEO of Mr Lee's company ok? Very on guy yeah?

But sadly, rain did came pouring down. And it wasn't just any rain, it was like sheets of rain attacking us from all sides. The small tents provided wasn't enuf, and in the end, we had to open up our umbrellas for protection. Wish we could take photos to show u how pathetic we were, but we couldn't risk getting "Dent Dent" wet.

When the rain abated slightly, we just couldn't bear to stay on for the buffet. Hence, we made our way to the food court near palawan beach for some piping hot ramen to drive away the cold from the rain.

Blamer's Spicy beef ramen

See Blamer was so cold she had to cover herself with a towel.

My ebi tempura ramen

Lastly Mr Lee with his Kimchi ramen.

After lunch, it's time for our real aim of the day, Sentosa! It's been a while since I last set foot here. First stop, Dolphin Lagoon.

It was still drizzling and the worst thing is, upon entering the dolphin watch area, we realised that the crowd control ppl weren't doing their job properly and allowed way too many ppl into the watch area. There was no empty seats at all under the tents. In the end, clever me with a stroke of genius, decided to use the mat and found ourselves some seats.

On with the show:

Can u see the dolphin?

Here the dolphins are "clapping" their fins

Jumping thru double hoops

One of the dolphins in full glory! And they are really pink! According to the trainers, these dolphins were born gray, but as they age, they turn pink. Hmm... looks like this dolphin here is grandpa level le.

After the dolphin show, we proceed to the underwater world via the monorail again. Remembered to take a pic this time.

Ha ha me with the tickets

Oh and as we were queuing to get into the attraction, we noticed that peacocks are allowed to roam freely at Sentosa, here's one of them.

Finally!

Near the entrance were displays of very weird looking sea creatures like this one here. Is it a flower or a crab or a lobster? or prawn?

More weird creatures, except the starfish of cos. Ha ha

This fellow here, if I remembered correctly, is called the dragon fish...

I particularly like this sea animal the best. SO Pretty!

In contrast, this sea-horse here looks so ordinary...

Next section... ...

Wonder if u can see this pic clearly, if not simply click on it to enlarge it. For those who have read Dan Brown's Da'Vinci Code, the creature featured here was mentioned in the book. Seems like this animal has been around since the dinosaur age and after all these years, has retained its structure.

Another survivor of the prehistoric times: the Horseshoe crab. Reminds me of foot soldiers hiding under their helmets. No wonder they can survive for so long. Ha ha ha.

These sea angels are tiny weenie creatures that live near the north pole (or is it the south pole?) Anyway, they thrive in extreme temperatures, hence have their own special "cave" at the Underwater World.

More pics of fishy. Particular the one at the bottom right hand corner So huge! And if u are wondering what is that thing at the bottom left hand corner, according to the sign board, it is the embryo of a nurse shark and the baby shark is really moving within the embryo. Amazing!

Next station is so Blamer... ...

Ha ha cos she is full of "crab" woot!

A lot of different species here, dun think they look as tasty as their chilli crab cousins.

And as we proceed further, wow monster crab!!!

Next up, we visited the jelly world...

This jelly? No!

The jellyfishes. And Blamer was very free to produce the next pic below

Multiple color jellyfishes as she waited for the tank lights to change color.

And finally we enter the conveyor belt area to be literally "underwater"

More fishy fishy

And this concludes our day at Sentosa.

For dinner, we went to Sushi Teh at Vivocity. Fine spread eh? The restaurant has a pretty nice view too.

Think we were really hungry after such a long day, cos guess wat? There's still room for desserts!

Wat a fun-filled day we had! Looking forward to the next outing!
