Weddings

As one grows older, the rate of getting invitations to weddings & baby showers gets higher! Haiz, 不认老都不行. I love attending weddings, in fact, as I like to share the special day of the couples! And also, a nice gathering for old friends who seldom keep in touch, but bonds still lasted throughout the years. Since it's the Vday month, let's spread the love of the couples who walked down the aisle :)

The dinner was held @ Amara hotel - my first visit to this hotel for wedding. Nice ballroom with a long march in, haha!

Some of the colleagues flew in from overseas for the event, super 给面子 to one of the pioneers of the company :)

The food was good & I went from being hungry to feeling satisfied to bloated.

With the girls who survived the night!

With JBetts - the 1st chinese wedding that he attended after relocating to SG.

Then the drinking begins after dinner! God, there were so much drinks on the table that I lost count of what I had.

The guys all ready to battle it out. In the end, Atsuo was so drunk that Andrew had to send him back to his hotel at MBS. We went down to Orchard for more drinks and I was sitting @ Mac at 2am for a quick fix of perk-me-up tea!

I was looking through my folders and realised that we didn't take any pictures with the newly weds using my camera! Then I went to their facebook, hoping to grab some pictures but realised that it wasn't put up, heehee! I'm guilty of that too, haha!

Anyway, grabbed a picture of the wedding couple with their family (hope they don't mind :))

Yes, if you think the background seemed familiar - yes! The same location where we held our dinner as well :)

I super 佩服 her as while Gavin was away in LDN for his studies, Jacq basically attended all the functions of his behalf. No wonder Gavin so 疼 her and can't wait to attend their wedding this coming Dec :)

Attended Keith's cousin, Adeline's wedding on Xmas day!

This wedding was rather special, as it was held in the Zoo :) And also, the first wedding that we attended as a married couple.

We even got free entry into the zoo, using the wedding invitation. So, we brought our parents to gai-gai in the zoo. Instead of taking the tram ride, we decided to walk to the restaurant, located in the middle of the zoo.

Looking for directions .....

I must admit that I haven been to the zoo in years. My virgin visit to the night safari was in 2008! The place has changed so much that I couldn't recognize my way initially.

Long walk in! We did stopped by several attractions along the way.

Stopped by the house of otters. They were adorable, but as they marked their territory using feces and urine, no wonder the place stinks!

Looking out for the white tiger, which was ... proudly sponsored by Tiger Beer, heehee! A white tiger's pale coloration is caused by the presence of a recessive gene, and they are not albinos (for true albino tigers would not have stripes)

Then, we visited Elephants of Asia :) The elephants were lazing around under the hot sun and we spotted an elephant grooving on his feet.

Wow, they even have river cruises now, enjoy a leisurely boat ride along the scenic Upper Seletar Reservoir.

Yeah, we have reached the reception venue. Nicely decked out in shades of purple :)

Bride & Groom making their grand entrance :) Very indian-ish!

The groom was so nervous saying his vows!

The pony as their ring bearer :) So interesting!

Spot the piano at the corner? The groom specially prepared a piece for his lovely bride during the march-in. Super sweet :)

Zoo souvenirs as door gifts - elephant, rhino, giraffe and tiger.

Bride & dad marching in, under the sweet piano melody played by the groom.

Table pic taken with the family.

May all the newly weds be in love and basking in happiness always!
