Vday with BFF & Parents-in-law

Thursday! Hope everyone had a wonderful New Year celebration. We celebrated with our Uni friends with a dinner @ Vivo and managed to make it back home in time for the countdown. Leecher got a huge shock & almost dropped me when I jumped into his arms to wish him Happy 2013! Looks like he needs to start an exercise regime this year, haha!

2nd day of a new working year, and I'm starting to feel the heat. New goals/plans being given to us. What a stark contrast to the last week, haha! Last wk of the year was spent clearing up all the backlogs - though busy, but the mood was generally very relaxed. Fast-forward 1 week later, you can sense the change in mood immediately. Everyone is gearing up their engines, all ready to charge for the new year! Well, I've also laid out my goals for this year, and will see if it gets accomplished along the way :)

Celebrated our 1st Vday last year (as a married couple) with BFF & Parents-in-law. No more flowers or presents *harsh fact of life*

Bright and early to report to work.

Met up with BFF for our Vday lunch @ Gastronomia. I love going to this place for a bit of peace and quiet, away from the lunch crowd - which can get really bad in CDB area.

The lil things that make girls happy :)

Da Paolo Gastronomia, a gournet-quality take out boutique ideally suited for those with great taste but lil time. I've always like their pizzas and pastas for they are sooo delicious.

Beef Lasagne & Salmon with Spinach Pastry.

Lemon cupcake :)

After work, we drove to Parents-in-law place & took them out for a meal @ Arbite.

The stairway leading to the cafe, well-lit with candles to create the cozy atmosphere.

Overlooking the carpark.

The place was rather empty, for we arrived early for dinner.

Candle light in a teacup, cute!

Daddy-in-law with his Squid Ink Tagliatelle Seafood - mussels, squid, prawns and chilli in a tomato base sauce. He termed the tagliatelle as 果条 :)

Mummy-in-law went for grilled fish. This item is no longer on their menu though.

Leecher had Asian Spiced Lamb Shank - the lamb was stewed in a melange of Asian spices, served with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables.

As for me, I went for their Eggs Benedict - poached eggs, honey baked ham, citrus hollandaise on brioche and served with fresh greens.
Every day is Vday, as long as you're spending it with the ones you love :)
